A Post I've Been Waiting to Write

Guess what?

I've picked up some new reading material (side bar soon to be updated).

But sadly, I've been way too sick to read a whole lot lately. If I'm not crouching in the bathroom losing my lunch, I'm laying on the bed hoping it will pass.

And I've been falling asleep earlier, and having a harder time getting out of bed, which cuts into the reading, big time.

But that's okay! I feel like it's worth it. 6 months from now, I'm REALLY sure I'll think so.

We're pretty happy.

WooHoo! How exciting is that??? I am thrilled for you and for your parents (whom I'm sure are beyond excited!)

I'll keep you in my prayers- and you're right- the sickness and any other inconvenience is well worth it once you hold that baby in your arms.

Yay yay and yaaaay! Elijah was very excited and wants to know what you have in there! :) I told him that right now it is a baby bean but as it grows we can find out. (Assuming you will).
Girl, I SOO feel for you about the sickness. I don't know how you feel about taking meds but I took the prescription meds for beind sick with both kids (and they turned out pretty okay! :) So if it is really bad - you might want to ask about it.
OHHH - you were just home and we couldn't gush all over you! So now when do you come home so we can ply you with questions and squeal in person???
A June baby, right?

Congratulations, Gretchen! How exciting!! I can't believe you've kept it a secret for this long already!

I saw you at church last night but had no idea how you were feeling. I hope with you being almost done with your first trimester that awful nausea goes away. I was very sick my first 3 months (really from week 6 to week 13). I couldn't do a thing! Everywhere we went I had to be close to a restroom, "just in case." I never knew what smell was going to knock me over!! But the Lord is good...and you're right. Now that I feel like myself again, I absolutely can't wait to see our little girl face-to-face. It will all be SO worth it!

Yeah!! Praise Jesus!

Hi Gretchen,
WOW, Congratulations! That is wonderful news! I thought maybe I would be one of the last to know, since I only read your blog and don't see you in person, but it appears from others' comments that you were keeping your special news to yourself for awhile. That's fun! I do hope you will feel better soon. I've been down that road . . . with Christin it lasted longer than I expected, though I did find that keeping my protein levels up as well as taking an extra B6 supplement really helped. Keep posting pictures; we want to see your progress!

By the way, we asked some friends to send us the ESV Illustrated Family Bible that you blogged about some time back; it is wonderful! My girls really enjoy the pictures, and I really enjoy reading "straight from" the Bible since we have practically memorized our other Bible story books. Thanks for the recommendation!

Blessings to you, Josh, and the wee one!

Love,
Rachel W
